I'm honored to serve as a volunteer crew member aboard the Kalmar Nyckel. A faithful, full-scale re-creation of the 17th-century Dutch-built armed merchant ship that brought the first Swedish settlers to North America in 1638, founding New Sweden. Sailing her requires a lot of teamwork and respecting timeless maritime traditions.

I'll be adding photos soon.
